Language camp in the Bavarian Forest

Welcome to the Bavarian Forest and our holiday camp in Regen!

Our international holiday camp in Bavaria offers a combination of language and adventure experiences together with the Bavarian State Sports Association. Through innovative learning concepts, English lessons are also made entertaining during the holidays. Participants are supervised by our international team, who speak both English and some German. They are supported not only during the lessons but also in their free time and can improve their language skills at the same time.

Location

There are two types of accommodation available for children and young people - our campsite and the neighbouring BLSV sports camp. Here we have great sports facilities and plenty of space for leisure activities with sunbathing lawns, campfire sites and barbecue areas. We also offer cosy lounges where you can play billiards, table football or air hockey during the breaks.

Accommodation

Adventure Camping
Our tents on the campsite are designed for six to seven people and have floors and a wooden gallery. You can furnish them comfortably together with your carers. Alternatively, you can also choose a Tiny House or a hut with bunk beds, a small wardrobe and table.

BLSV sports camp
The BLSV sports camp offers two to six-bed rooms in the academy house with bunk beds or spacious log cabins with their own bathroom and lounge for a total of 12 people.

Meals

The professional kitchen team at the BLSV sports camp provides delicious catering with three meals a day. For breakfast, we offer a selection of rolls, bread, cold cuts, spreads, muesli and fresh fruit. At lunchtime there is a warm meal with a rich salad buffet. In the evening, you can look forward to a hearty snack, warm snacks and salad. We also offer vegetarian and pork-free options and are happy to cater for special dietary requirements if these are communicated to us prior to arrival. We provide free water and fruit between meals.

Program

Leisure activities
Our sports and leisure programme offers plenty of activities so that nobody gets bored. For our early risers there is yoga or fitness in the morning or a round of jogging. We let the late risers sleep in and start together a little later in the morning. Our sports facilities are designed for classic ball sports such as basketball, football and volleyball. Archery, street hockey, mountain biking, table tennis, wild minigolf or creative activities, guitar playing, theatre, dancing and cooking are also possible at our camp. You can put your teamwork to the test in our raft-building project. Of course, the raft will also be tested! We go canoeing and kayaking on the nearby River Regen. In the evenings, the programme includes a disco, talent show, campfire, barbecue and torch-lit hikes.

Excursions
We regularly go on excursions to the local outdoor pool right next door. Here you can swim, slide and do aqua fitness. Of course, we also want to make sure that you experience the beauty of the Bavarian Forest. We visit the Silberberg and explore the old mine there. As a special highlight, we then take the summer toboggan run back down again. A stroll through the typical Bavarian market town of Regen is also planned so that you can buy small souvenirs and keepsakes. For two-week stays, we offer our Survival Hike, a hike with overnight accommodation without a tent. Here you will not only learn how to navigate with a map and compass, but also build shelters for the night as a team. You will also cook together over an open fire. The whole experience brings the group together and helps with individual development.

Alternatively, you can take part in our day trip to Munich for an additional €65, including a city tour and shopping opportunity.

Language courses

English Classic
In our Classic courses, language skills are improved in a fun and practical way. We use interesting and age-appropriate topics and methods that are especially suitable for the holiday season. We emphasise the importance of internalising vocabulary through daily use outside the classroom. In this way, we want to prevent dull memorisation. Our dedicated English-speaking teamers are in constant contact to ensure correct pronunciation and to inspire young people to speak English. They are experts in ensuring that the youngsters return to school after the holidays feeling empowered and motivated.

English TOEFL®
In addition to the English Classic course, we also offer the two-week TOEFL® course. The Test of English as a Foreign Language is the most widely accepted language test for school and academic English worldwide. If the course is successfully completed and the exam is passed, participants receive a certificate documenting their language skills in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The TOEFL course comprises an additional 10 lessons in preparation for the exam on top of the regular 40 English lessons. The focus of the course is on grammar, text processing and listening comprehension. We prepare participants for the TOEFL® exam in a relaxed manner with a test run.

German Classic
We offer courses at different levels. Both beginners and advanced students are divided into appropriate groups according to their existing knowledge. As with our English Classic course, the focus is on conversation. Interactive lessons help all participants to expand their vocabulary and consolidate their grammar. You can then use your newly learnt vocabulary straight away in the group lessons.

Airport Transfer

COLLECTIVE TRANSFER

With this shuttle all children are first picked up from their exit right after the baggage claim and then brought to the camp together. This can lead to waiting times.

Our team will be at the airport from 10 am and will collect all arriving children. For parents who accompany their children to Munich Airport themselves, we offer a central meeting point at McDonald's Restaurant at Munich Airport. Depending on the number of participants, the transfer can take place by bus, train or car. The shuttle leaves the airport at 5 pm with all children and carers in the direction of the camp.
All flights arriving later than 4 pm can no longer be considered for this transfer. In this case we recommend that you book our private transfer.
If your flight arrives before 10 am, we will need to send an extra person to the airport to pick up your child at the gate. This also applies to the return trip if the flight departs later than 4 pm. For this service we charge 50 € extra, in addition to the normal transfer costs. These costs cover the service of receiving your child earlier/checking him in later and looking after him.
