Our German Camps = Your Language Holidays

German LANGUAGE HOLIDAYS SINCE 2003

The ability to communicate in different languages is a priceless gift and enables young people to make friends with other students from all across the globe. Why not also developing the language skills during the holidays? We focus on fun and interactive education and encourage all students to actively use the language in order to improve their German skills, not only through our interesting lessons, but also by interacting with other campers and staff during their free time! With so many German students at camp, the opportunities to practice the language are endless.

German Language Course in focus

All German Language Courses offered by GELC are solely carried out by native German speakers in internationally mixed classes with no more than 12 students. At the beginning of the stay the individual level of each participant will be assessed by our experienced teachers to ensure that everybody is placed in the right class, according to their language abilities. Depending on the location you choose, courses comprise 12 to 20 units of 45 minutes per week. We focus on fun and interactive education. The use of modern teaching methods in and outside the classroom, incorporating topics that are suitable for the different age groups and levels guarantees a positive outcome and a pleasant classroom experience. There a different course options so it's your choice how intense the German language tuition of your child is going to be.

German Classic

Regen und Walsrode are the perfect locations for students to improve theirs German language skills as also many German children spend their holidays at those camps in summer. We offer classes at different levels from complete beginner to advanced. In our Classic Courses, we focus on conversation and incorporate lots of fun activities and games to build up the student’s vocabulary and strengthen the grammar skills. We encourage all students to actively use the language in order to improve their German, not only through our interesting lessons, but also by interacting with other campers during their free time. With so many Germans staying at camp, the opportunities to practice the language are endless.

German Goethe 

For those students who are attending our German Language Camp in the Bavarian Forest for at least two weeks we also offer our Goethe Courses. Those specific programs are suitable for students who have been learning German for at least one year at school. They comprise 10 additional units, preparing the participants for the Goethe Certificate „Fit in Deutsch 1“ (A1 - A2) . The Goethe-Institute’s German language examinations correspond to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and are internationally recognized. Please note that bookings need to be submitted no later than six weeks prior to arrival at camp in case your customers wish to take the Goethe exam.

Dates, Prices & Booking

Following you will find all available dates for the German Language Camps offered by GELC at our locations in Germany. If you would like to send your child to our camp in Regen (Bavarian Forest) or in Walsrode (Lueneburger Heide) please choose the "Creative, Sports & Adventure Camp" first. In a second step you can then add the language profile for beginners or advanced to your booking, at an additional fee of 125 € (Lüneburger Heide) / 135 € (Bavarian Forest).
