ENGLISH Language Camp (10-15 Years)
Make your children's summer holiday an unforgettable experience by enrolling them for our Language Camp based at Rossall School north of Manchester! In England, boarding schools have a long tradition and stand out for top of the range facilities. For our Language Camp, we have chosen one of the most prestigious schools in the country. As soon as you enter the premises you step back in time especially when sharing meals in the traditional Dining Hall built in 1844. On top of our high-class language courses we offer a big variety of free time activities as well as excursions to the most impressive places in the North of England. By the way this amazing camp is set right at the sea with private access to the beaches of the Lancashire Coast!
Location
Rossall School is located right at the sea on the outskirts of the small and friendly town of Fleetwood, part of the county of Lancashire. In good visibility, everybody is impressed by the splendid views over Morecambe Bay going as far as to the mountains of the Lake District. Shaped by its coastal location and surrounded by stunning architecture, Rossall School generates an atmosphere of calm and tradition and makes you feel like being part of a Harry Potter film set. Sited on an expansive 160 acres, it offers a lot of room to pursue sporting activities and space to explore and discover.
accommodation
All students are accommodated in the "Anchor House", one of the 10 boarding houses, in spacious 2 to 4 bedded rooms. There are communal toilets and shower rooms on each floor plus comfy common rooms, a kitchenette as well as a library with computer terminals and internet access.
Catering
Rossall School offers superb food throughout the day and also provides special diets such gluten and lactose-free and pork-free food on request. There are also plenty of vegetarian and pork-free options. The Traditional English Breakfast is a true highlight at Rossall School including fried eggs, baked beans, hash browns, tomatoes, mushrooms and sausages. Those students who feel that this might be a bit too powerful in the morning should try the delicious homemade porridge instead. On top there is toast, different spreads and jams as well as a huge selection of cereals, yoghurt and fruit. For lunch and dinner we provide hot meals accompanied by a large salad and fruit bar as well as a cake buffet for lunch. In between meals water bottles can be filled up at the water fountains and fruit and bisquits are provided during snack time.
English Language Courses
The ability to communicate in different languages is a priceless gift and enables young people to make friends with other students from all across the globe. Why not also developing the language skills during the holidays? All our Language courses are solely carried out by native speakers in internationally mixed classes with no more than 12 students. At the beginning of the stay the individual level of each participant will be assessed by our experienced teachers to ensure that everybody is placed in the right class, according to their language abilities. Our courses comprise 20 units of 45 minutes per week but no worries – our lessons are not like being at school. We focus on fun and interactive education. The use of modern teaching methods in and outside the classroom, incorporating topics that are suitable for the different age groups and levels guarantees a positive outcome and a pleasant classroom experience. We offer two different English courses:
English Classic
By attending our interactive Classic Courses students will improve their language skills in a fun way. Our Classic Courses are designed to match the holidays of our young participants. Nevertheless, they are intense and efficient. Our teachers put a strong focus on oral practice and make sure that the students build up their confidence and improve communication skills in a playful way and without even noticing. They will breathe new vocabulary and internalize the right pronunciation by using the language and not by memorizing boring work sheets. Our campers are always around our English speaking staff, who encourage all students to put their language skills in practice inside and outside the classroom. Attending camp will give them a boost of self-confidence and fresh motivation for their English lessons at school.
TOEFL® Course
Apart from our Classic Courses we also offer two-week TOEFL® Courses. The Test of English as a Foreign Language is the most widely respected English language test in the world. At the end of the course all participants will take an exam to achieve the TOEFL® certificate. The great advantage of TOEFL® is that no one can fail the test. It just measures the student’s ability to use and understand English as it’s read, written, heard and spoken according to the CEFR – the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (A1 to C1). Attending this special course is definitely worth it as all candidates will receive a certificate that not only proves their level of English but is also accepted by schools worldwide in case your customers consider to spend a school year abroad.
Students who attend the TOEFL® Course will benefit from 10 additional units on top of their 40 hours of classic English tuition. During those additional lessons, we focus on grammar exercises and practice important parts of the exam such as reading and listening comprehension and we will also use sample tests to get all candidates well prepared for the exam.
Camp Adventure is an authorized test center for TOEFL® and TOEIC®.

Our varied sports and leisure program makes the perfect balance to the language tuition. Numerous sports and outdoor activities as well as creative sessions guarantee lots of fun in the afternoons and evenings.

Our activity program at Rossall School is guaranteed to provide for plenty of new experiences alongside the language tuition. Your children will be blown away by the location. The school offers sports facilities at its best including extensive floodlit sports fields, tennis and squash courts, a climbing wall plus a gym and a heated 25-meter indoor pool. Athletic campers will just love it! No worries, camp is not just all about sports. For the less ambitious we also offer lots of creative activities such as arts & crafts, dance and theatre and of course outdoor activities ranging from survival skills to team building. On sunny summer days, nothing can keep us away from the beach. We prepare ourselves for fun activities like sunbathing, swimming, beach volleyball – not to forget about our highly competitive sand castle competitions. But the fun doesn’t stop here – joint nights around the camp fire, BBQs, discos or talent shows provide for a diverse and memorable evening entertainment. We make sure that all students are part of it and make new friends from all across the world in a fully English environment!
excursion
During their time in England all students will get the chance to see some amazing places through our weekly excursions. We will show them the picturesque medieval city of York and the historic seaport and vibrant city of Liverpool where lots of popular British musicians started their career. No matter where we go our excursions are always the perfect combination of culture and sightseeing with the chance for everyone to shop and relax in between visiting the most popular tourist attractions our destinations have to offer.
Furthermore, our campers will enjoy regular short trips to nearby places. The popular seaside resort of Blackpool stands out not only for its three piers and famous Pleasure Beach. It is also the home of “Blackpool Tower”, a 158m high copy of the Eiffel Tower. Additionally, we will take your students to the coastal town of Fleetwood, home of Lofthouse, the inventors and producers of world-renowned Fisherman’s Friends.

Individual Arrival and Departure
You are welcome to drop your children directly at camp and to pick them up at the end of their stay. Directions to camp will be sent out as part of our travel documents approximately 2 weeks prior to arrival at camp. Our times for check in / pick up are between 4 pm and 6 pm on arrival day and between 10 am and noon on departure day.
Airport Transfer
Group Transfer (75€ per way): This is a collective transfer for all students who arrive and depart in a pre-defined time frame.
Our team will be at the airport noon to 4 pm to pick up all students who arrive that day before we head off to camp. Depending on the number of students we either use private hired coaches or trains. Please note that due to given time frame there will be waiting times at the airport for those children who arrive early but our staff will look after them at all times.
Flights arriving after 4 pm/departing before noon can not be taken into account for the group transfer. Those students have to arrange a transfer to camp themselves
Pick Up at the Airport
Our staff will meet all students right after customs. They can be recognized easily as they all wear branded T-Shirts and hold up big Camp Adventure signs. To pick up your children we will need all flight details before arrival. That's why it's important that you fill in the transfer questionnaire that will be sent to you approximately 6 weeks prior to arrival. On the departure day we will take all children back to the airport, look after check in and accompany them to the security checkpoint
Pick Up Times(Flights need to arrive / depart within the following time frames):
Arrival: noon to 4 pm
Departure: 11 am to 4 pm
*The group transfer from / to Manchester Airport is offered every weekend!
Individual Transfer: This is a private shuttle upon request. The costs can be shared by up to 2 children and should be booked in case flights arrive / depart outside the pre-defined time frames or if students arrive / depart on other than our official arrival / departure days.

We recommend that you book our full insurance package which only costs 35 € per person. It includes a Health, Accident, Liability and Luggage Insurance for the duration of your language trip. For more details please clickhere.
We also offer a Travel Cancellation Guarantee at an additional fee of 75 € per person. The best part of it: You don't have to give us any reason for not travelling – no matter if your child is sick, injured or has to take extra exams at school: We will reimburse all costs for the language trip booked with Camp Adventure apart from your 50 € deposit and the fee for the travel cancellation.
